Week 1 : Intro To Creative Studies : Defining Creative & Creativity
Creative Studies. One of the subjects that I am taking for this trimester. Personally I have no clue or idea what's this class going to be. Only that we will be learning one of the most hardest to define topics; Creative. Well, it changes my attitude a bit after the first class. Gave me an interesting though of how to think creatively step by step or piece by piece.
In this class, we going to learn and study how to be creative where many people including me, wants to know and be. What I would like to learn from this class is being able to solve a problem or idea and turn it into a creative solution.
What I have learn at class this week is how to be creative is to work hard. when we work hard, we gain much more experience and ways to solve the problem. Even better, we also can turn it into a something that people might not think of, because they don't work that hard to achieve to that point; solve the problem in a unique way.
We had a little game of what brain are you prone to use? Mine as I figured, Left Brain dominant or Logical thinker. lets see what are the differences of Left Brain and Right Brain works.

As you see mine is not that creative but I'm also not that logical of a thinker. Maybe I'm learning to use my right brain also. Now that is good news. :D
Creative and Creativity. Two different words and meaning. Or is it? Lets check it out.
Creative : Relating to or involving the use of imagination or original ideas in order to create something.

Creativity : Ability to produce something new through imaginative skill, whether a new solution to a problem, a new method or device, or a new artistic object or form.

It does sound similar does it? To me, creative is a thought which describes to a form, object or ideas that presented which is unique and different. So creativity is a state of mind where ideas are new, fresh and no one haven't think of it yet. Both of them are the same and exact. It just how you use the two words according to the proper manner or proper grammar.
For example : "He is a swift basketball player"
"He swiftly takes the ball and shoot "
